About Mouna Raagam Orchestra
At Mouna Raagam, we believe that great music experiences change attitudes. Since its inception, Mouna Raagam has evolved into a high-end musical orchestra specializing in re-producing melody music that inspire and motivate.
We have been performing for the past 18 years and we are proud in saying that most of the leading play back singers in the film music field have performed at least once with us. Received Best Music Troupe award from Tamil Nadu Govt. Approved MGR Mandram for 2011-12. Done Many shows in all leading tamil channels.
Mouna Raagam has extensive experience across all category of music including light music, classical, western, folk, DJ and instrumental. Our goal is to give each & every listening ear a melody feel and a vision with true professionalism to chart the roads of informative & entertaining events.
Some of our recent shows are :
1. SALUTE TO A. R. RAHMAN - with 20 leading play back singer and it was hosted by A. R. Rahainah and Mr. Vijay Aadhiraj, on april 4th, 2010
2. MAYAKKUM MAALAI POZHUTHU - with Shri. Unnimenon and Srimathumitha on june 12th, 2010. It was hosted by Erode Mahesh. Mr. Malaysia Vasudevan was the chief guest.
3. THIRAIYIL BHARATHAM - a rare dance based cine songs performed by Dr. Nithyasri Mahadevan on july 18th, 2011. In the same event, we honoured Dance Master Shri. Raghuram towards his 50 years contribution to indian cinema. It was hosted by Shri. Ranganathan of giri trading and chief guest for that show was Shri. P.B. Srinivas.
4. TRIVENI SANGAMAM - songs of Dr. M.S. Subbulakshmi, M.L. Vasanthakumari and D.K. Pattammal by Dr. Nithyasri Mahadevan at Shanmugananda Hall, Mumbai on November 13th, 2011. MUMBAI

12. NAANUM RAAJAVUM – scintillating melodies of Isaignani Ilayaraja sung by Padmabhusan Dr. S.P.B. at kamaraj hall on august 7th, 2011. Record crowd of 2500 people at the venue (actual seating capacity is only 1700)
13. ISAI PUYAL RAHMAN – super duper hits of a.r.rahman performed by singers like priyadharshini, prasanna, Nikhil Mathew, srinisha etc at kamaraj hall on October 9, 2011.
14. SALUTE TO KAMAL – Padmasri Dr. Kamal’s birthday special show on November 7, 2011 at kamaraj hall
15. RAJINIYUM NAANUM – Padmabhushan Superstar Rajinikanth’s birthday special show on December 11th, Sunday by Dr. SPB at kamaraj hall

17. RAAGA MALAI – As a part of KALAI VIZHA 2012, we did a grand musical show with Padmabhushan Dr. SPB – ragam based cine songs sung by shri. Spb at kamaraj hall, Chennai
18. RASIGARGALUDAN SPB – First ever LIVE TELECAST show of a light music event by MEGA TV held on march 18th, 2012 at Wesley school grounds, royapettah with Living Legend Shri. SPB.
19. NAMMA SPB – After a long gap of 5 years, SPB sir performed in front of a crowd of around 10000 people in Madurai. Grand show
20. MAZHAIYODU MANO – A conceptual musical show with play back singer MANO – featuring only rain based songs at kamaraj hall.
21. SPB GOLDEN NITE, DUBAI – Performed a grand light music event with shri. SPB at dubai and it was a grand success
22. IDAYA GEETHANGAL – with Shri. MANO at tirupur for a charitable trust called UNITED HEARTS
23. NAMMA SPB, 2014, 15 & 16 – Again continuing the success achieved last year, we have performed the same concept for the next two years also.
